East Valley Central Middle School is celebrating a 2016 School of Distinction award received for being in the top 5% of Washington State schools achieving improvement in English language arts and Mathematics over a five-year period. East Valley Central is one of 94 schools throughout the state, and one of only 20 middle schools honored by the Office of the Superintendent of Public Instruction (OSPI), Center for Educational Effectiveness (CEE) and their partner organizations that have recognized schools all over the state for continuous and substantive improvement. This acknowledgment is a point of pride for the middle school and signifies the hard work of the students and staff of the middle school.
