EVHS - GRADUATION REQUIREMENTS
Graduation Requirements-East Valley High School
The following credits and subject areas of study shall be required of each candidate for graduation:

Language Arts
These language arts credits shall include instruction in:
Writing, literature, speech and grammar | 4 credits |
Social Studies
Freshmen year (1 cr): World Geography, WA. History
(Some students fulfill WA History requirement in middle school.)
Junior year (1 cr): U.S. History, American Gov't
Senior year (1 cr): Current World Issues, Economics | 3 credits |
Health and Fitness
Freshmen year (.5 cr): 9th PE
Sophomore year (1.5 cr): 10th PE or JROTC and Health | 2 credits |
Mathematics
Freshmen (1 cr): Core Plus Math 1*
Sophomore (1 cr): Core Plus Math II* | 2 credits |
*indicates college preparatory math courses
Science
Freshmen year (1 cr): Coordinated Science I
Sophomore year (1 cr): Coordinated Science II (Biology)

Occupational Education
Freshmen - Micro-Computer Applications .5 credits
Courses meeting the career and technical education program .5 credits
