ENGAGE Experiences

Terrace Heights students with East Valley Fire Department.
Terrace Heights Elementary second graders get an annual visit from the
East Valley Fire Department and the Edith House where they learn about how to safely
evacuate in the event of a fire at their home. 
 
ENGAGE Experiences are special events, sponsored by local businesses and organizations, that provide opportunities for students and families to connect with each other and our school staff outside of the regular school day. These events promote school pride, community and academic achievement. 

 

ENGAGE Experiences: 

  • Are offered free of charge to our families and students
  • Allow you to share your expertise & spread word about the services your organization provides
  • Foster school connectedness
  • Provide valuable opportunities for families to learn how to support academic achievement at home

Sponsor-A-Sport

ENGAGE partners can also choose to Sponsor-A-Sport, instead of planning an ENGAGE Experience. Please keep in mind that "sport" is used to describe any event that highlights our East Valley students groups. These same models could be used to sponsor a theatre production, choir concert, etc. 
 
To Sponsor-A-Sport: 
  • Select sport and game/tournament date
  • Offer a certain number of tickets for student and family entrance at your expense. (Example: I will buy $500 worth of tickets. Tickets are $5 each, so I am willing to pay for up to 100 tickets) 
  • Send a representative to the sporting event to purchase and distribute tickets. 

or

  • Select a sport and game/tournament date
  • Work with our district to design a custom spirit item that will encourage students, families and community members to attend the event (think Red Devil bobblehead night). 
  • Send a representative to distribute these promotional items at the sporting event. 
  • Your logo can also be on this promotional item as a secondary feature.
