Our mission is to...

connect families, students and staff daily!

In a fast-moving world, we know that our staff, parents and community members thrive on informative and timely communication. At East Valley School District, we believe in a student-centered approach, placing our students, and the employees that support their growth and achievement, at the forefront of our communication efforts. We are committed to open communication for the betterment of our students and our community. We welcome constructive feedback that will help us achieve these goals.

ANNOUNCEMENT: MOBILE APP COMING SOON!!

We’re excited to announce that we’ll be using a new school-to-home communication app called Sangha! Powered by Edlio (our new website provider), Sangha helps us to be more efficient by streamlining communication, reducing the need for paper, and automating reminders. Here are some of the features included in this great tool:

  • Scheduling for  meetings
  • Signing permission slips and other forms
  • School/class-wide announcements or private 1-on-1 chats between teachers and parents
  • Automated reminders for busy parents

As an Edlio product, Sangha also connects to our new website. You’ll use the same login page as you will for the website and the calendars for both are connected.

A quick reminder that our first set of Sangha teacher workshops are coming up on Monday, August 14th during the Technology Fair. There will be two sessions: The first session will run from 9:45-11:15 and the second session will run from 2:00-3:30. You will be compensated for your time if you attend these sessions. During these sessions you will be given ample opportunity to ask questions about how the site functions, what the parents see, and how it all works, as well as, work through live examples you bring to the workshop.

Our parents have not received their invites so now is your chance to learn the site functions without them watching.  Be sure to bring your mobile device (iPad), questions and examples to the workshop!

During the workshop we’ll begin using Sangha for volunteering sign ups, event RSVPs, consent forms, material requests, payments, and sending messages.  Please make every effort to be there so you understand this tool moving forward and are prepared to answer questions from your parents.

If you can't make it to the Technology Fair, don't be worried, we will schedule a training workshop(s) and reach out with the date and time soon. This is a very exciting opportunity, and we know you will all find this new communication tool beneficial for yourselves, our families, and ultimately our students!!
