EVSD Safety Practice with First Responders

Dear East Valley Parents and Guardians,

On Tuesday, March 24th, from approximately 4:00–6:00 p.m., East Valley School District will conduct a scheduled safety exercise at Moxee Elementary School.

This exercise is being coordinated in partnership with the East Valley Fire Department, Moxee Police Department, and the Yakima County Sheriff’s Office. The purpose of this training is to strengthen our emergency response procedures, improve communication among agencies, and ensure we are fully prepared to protect and safeguard students and staff in the event of a real emergency.

During this time, families and community members may see or hear emergency vehicles and first responders in the area surrounding the school. Please know this is only a drill. All exercise activity should be kept within the boundaries of the school.
