Transportation
Did you know that our school buses travel over 263,640 miles safely per year? And this does not even include sporting events!!
Your child’s safety is our number one priority here in the East Valley School District. A school bus is the safest form of transportation for your child to use to get to and from school each day. Our drivers go through an extensive training program that includes learning how to drive a school bus, first aid certification, a thorough FBI back ground check, and how to deal with students on a school bus.
Route Change/Consolidation for Thursday, March 7th
Attention EVHS & EVC Families with Students Who Ride Bus Routes 4, 12, and 21:
Due to driver shortages in our transportation department, three of our bus routes will have different afternoon drop-off times for Thursday, March 7th (PM).
Route 12: Students who normally ride Route 12 will ride Route 21.
Route 21 North Sky Vista Stops Only: Students who normally ride Route 21 and are picked up/dropped-off on North Sky Vista will be riding Route 4.
Route 21 All Other Stops (not North Sky Vista): Students who normally ride Route 21 (other than North Sky Vista) will continue to ride Route 21.
Afternoon drop-off will be approximately 15 minutes later.
If your child is able to get a ride home from school, that could help alleviate some of the extra students and stops for each bus. We understand this is not possible for many of our families, so we do ask for extra patience as our drivers make it through their additional stops. Please accept our sincerest apologies for this disruption.
Attention Terrace Heights Elementary Families with Students Who Ride Bus Routes 12 and 23:
Due to driver shortages in our transportation department, two of our bus routes will have different afternoon drop-off times for Thursday, March 7th.
All Route 12 riders will be riding Route 23 bus (the two routes are combining to share one bus).
- Afternoon drop-off will be approximately 15 minutes later.
If your child is able to get a ride home from school, that could help alleviate some of the extra students and stops for the bus. We understand this is not possible for many of our families, so we do ask for extra patience as our driver makes it through the additional stops. Please accept our sincerest apologies for this disruption.
If you have any questions regarding your student’s bus route, please contact our Transportation Department at 509-573-7373. Thank you for your understanding and patience while we continue to work through bus driver shortages.
