EVE To Resume Classes Friday, September 29th

Update (Thursday, September 28, 2017 @ 1:44 p.m. ) - Repairs and clean up of the broken water line at East Valley Elementary have gone well and school will be in session tomorrow, Friday, September 29th. Thank you for your patience today as we worked through this unexpected incident.

Transportation Tips

In an effort to keep our students safe while they're en route to our schools, the transportation department encourages all drivers in our community to review this helpful article on when to stop, and when not to stop for a school bus.

EVE Cancelled for Thursday, September 28th!

Due to a break in the main water line, East Valley Elementary will have no school today, Thursday, September 28th. All other East Valley schools will operate as normal. Staff, please report to work as normal. We will provide updates regarding the remainder of the week, as repairs are made. We apologize for the short notice and any inconvenience this may cause.

Protecting Our Athletes

East Valley High School Football is proud to be participating in the “Washington Safety in Football Campaign”. As part of this program, our football players will be wearing a special sticker for the 2017 season, symbolizing our efforts to ensure safety in our athletics programs.

East Valley School District Welcomes Deputy Jake Church

The East Valley School District enthusiastically welcomes, Deputy Jake Church as the District School Resource Officer (SRO). Deputy Church joins the East Valley team as a commissioned officer of the Yakima Sheriff’s department and will be based out of East Valley High School for the 2017-2018 school year. The primary mission of the SRO role is to provide added security for our schools and to, “foster a positive image of deputies and police officers among young people.” The SRO will also, “provide law enforcement services at dances, athletic contests and other public events as needed,” and provide security education for both students and staff.

If you see Deputy Church or his squad car around the community, don’t forget to welcome him with a friendly wave!

EVHS Senior Scout presents elementary schools with much needed Supplies!

Garret Martinez, a former Terrace Heights Elementary and East Valley Central student, saw a need in our community for school supplies and took it upon himself to fill that need. We thank him for his leadership and support and for proving once again, that East Valley does have the BEST students around! For more information about Garret's school supply drive click this link!

Poor Air Quality Notice

Air Quality Update (Wednesday, September 13, 2017): We are continuing to monitor the air quality on the Department of Ecology's website and will make adjustments as needed throughout the day, based on their recommendations, to protect the healthy and safety of our students.
