Mask Requirements at EVHS Football Games

Last week Governor Jay Inslee changed the masking requirements for outdoor events where attendance will be over 500 people. Due to this new mask mandate, all spectators at our East Valley High School football games will be required to wear a mask (regardless of vaccination status). This new masking requirement went into effect on Monday, September 13, 2021.
While we understand that there could be some inconvenience in wearing a mask while outdoors, we know our EV community will continue to support our athletes and students by making sure to mask up. With over 600 fans (sometimes nearly 1,200 depending on the opponent) attending our games, we meet the masking requirement for outdoor events for our football games.
Let’s mask up so they can play! Go Big Red!

Thank You

The East Valley School District would like to take this opportunity to thank all of our families and the EV community for their support, patience, and flexibility throughout this past year while dealing with the COVID-19 pandemic.

To say the 2020-2021 school year was challenging for our families is an understatement. Going from 100% online learning, to hybrid, to elementary schools going back to all day in-person, and finally EVC and EVHS returning to all day, in-person; there has been one adjustment after another. Then, you add in filling out daily attestations, stocking up on facemasks, and keeping track of everyone your child came within 6’ of in the course of a day. It’s been a lot. It was a lot to ask of you. But, YOU did it…and we thank you!

We hope you thoroughly enjoy your summer break. You have earned it!
