Who's Eligible?
Nomination Criteria:
Nominees must be classroom teachers or other certificated employees (principal, counselor, librarian, SLICC, director) with a teaching credential, that have demonstrated an ongoing commitment to excellence in education. The nominee must be currently employed in the East Valley School District. Nominations previously submitted may be resubmitted. Previous winners are not eligible.
Nominations should reflect the following:
- Focus on the student
- Nominee's primary focus is on the student, with a positive impact on children
- Nominee engages enthusiasm and versatility in creative use of resources and curriculum to reach students in ways that contribute to increased knowledge, talents, and self-esteem.
- Nominee inspires students to attain their maximum potential in life.
- Relationship with staff and community
- Nominee exhibits outstanding peer relationships and develops parental support and respect.
- Knowledge of Subjects
- Individual demonstrates dedication to professional growth and shares knowledge effectively with students and other educational professionals. (Cite original materials and/or curricula developed, publications, innovative instructional methods, or other contributions).
