Name, Work & Image Opt-Out
Throughout the school year, East Valley School District staff may take photos and videos of students during classroom activities, school events, and school-sponsored activities, including those held off campus. The district may also share examples of student work. These photos, videos, names of students, and names of staff may be used for communication or marketing purposes. This may include district publications, presentations, websites, Facebook or other social media, press releases, newspapers, and other forms of media.
As a parent or guardian, you decide whether the district may share your child’s name and image. If you do not want your child’s name and/or image used for these purposes, you may choose to opt out. To do so, please complete the opt-out form and return it to your child’s school.
If you do not opt out, the district will assume you give permission for your child’s name and image to be used during the school year. Please note that school yearbooks are considered internal school publications and are not included in this opt-out process. If you do not want your child’s name or photo included in the yearbook, please notify your school principal in writing.
