New Assistant Superintendent Announced

On February 22, 2021, the East Valley School District Board of Directors appointed assistant superintendent, Russ Hill, as the new superintendent of East Valley schools, effective July 1, 2021. The decision to appoint Mr. Hill came following the announcement of the upcoming retirement of longtime superintendent, John Schieche, earlier this year. Mr. Hill’s appointment to this new role left an opening for the position of assistant superintendent. After thoughtful consideration, the East Valley Board of Directors has made the decision to approve the appointment of a candidate from within the district, to fill the role of assistant superintendent.
